Amazing capture of the bird! Love the colors and great composition.
Love it!
A shot of a lifetime.
I would have been over the moon with this as my result.
Wow, what a gorgeous photo! The colors are so vibrant.
I’m visiting via Camera Critters 🙂
Fantastic shot John! I need to get down under and see some of the great birds you have down there. The color and lighting is just great and I love the bokeh too.
Goodness, no wonder you were surprised.
Amazing emerald colours. So unlike our kingfisher in the uk, which is cobalt blue with orangey- red bits.
I love the way the twigs trail down over your blurred matching emerald green background. Not just any old bird portrait 🙂
What a beauty.
A stunning bird. Very well captured.
Great close up of a beauty!! Boom & Gary of The Vermilon River, Canada.
OH its beautiful…how fortunate he came right to your yard– I really like that over the shoulder look he is giving you.
What a beautiful bird you have photographed. They are hard to catch an image of. I have never seen this Kingfisher before, the colors and focus are heavenly!
Fantastic shot of the Kingfisher! Nice surprise for you!
