What a gorgeous shot!
WOW! Awesome shot of the pelican in flight.
Great action shot!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Your pelicans are very different from the white ones we have here, and the brown ones in the southern US and in Mexico.
Fabulous shot you got here, of this one just taking off. Good work.

Superb shot! Magnificent…
Pelicans are such fascinating birds! Your photo is GREAT!
Absolutely amazing photo capture.
What an amazing photo! I would love to see a pelican taking off like that in real life — it must be very impressive. They are such neat birds but I have only ever seen them in the zoo.
A great capture of a stunning bird.
Nice shooting … just needs to get the undercarriage aloft.
Great photo. I am always fascinated by the pelicans.
thats a huge bird….. nice action shot, great light and detail, even got the water split
Excellent flight capture John.
I liked your comment about your equipment being capable. Isn’t it startling when those great shots come unexpectedly out of your camera and you see what it and you are capable of? I think we are in the golden age of bird photography with what I see on WBW. The new technology in expert hands is showing us our world in unexpected and enthralling ways. Your great picture is evidence of that!
A fantastic action shot, and a very handsome bird.
Terrific capture of the Pelican taking off!
GOOD JOB–its a beauty!
Nice capture !
Nice shot! I love to see the Australian pelicans in pictures — they are such a beautiful species, and I love that ring they have around the eye!
