50th anniversary of the EH Holden car
It is Kings Parks 50th year of the wildflower festival, it also the 50th anniversary of the EH Holden car
so with the help of the EH club in WA Kings park combined the 2 anniversaries by turning 2 old EHs into…………
flower pots, sigh
(my wife suggested I do it with my EH, she was joking, i think, hope)
I managed to get a photo showing the character of one of the cars without having to many of the flowers, trying to give it the abandoned in the bush look.
I tried to be different from most others that were taking shots with the flowers too
this is the rear of one of the cars
three photos stitched with microsoft ice

Conostephium pendulum
I went for a ride last weekend to see what was in flower in the local bushland
I think I counted 20 different flowering plants
more than I expected for mid Winter
I took the opportunity to try out a different lighting set up
a home made soft box on my Pentax flash mounted on the camera
using an old 50mm lens mounted on a macro attachment
White tailed black cockatoo
A white tailed black cockatoo feasting on a firewood banksia cone whilst sitting on my bull banksia in Winter
I counted about 20 of them going through my trees, pruning as they went.
I picked up some banksia flowers they snipped off and put them in a vase
They do a a fair amount of damage, but gee it is worth it just to watch them 🙂
Everlasting
Dried everlasting flowers, living (hmm ok they are dead I guess) upto their name. Picked around 6 to 8 years ago from my garden
